WIND ENERGY LAW

I am currently a student in the Graduate Certificate Program in Wind Energy Management at Texas Tech University.  I have completed most of the course work required for this cerfiticate, and am currently taking an online Project Management course and will take an online Wind Energy Law Seminar in Spring, 2010 taught by Dr. Victoria Sutton.

The Wind Energy Graduate Certificate Program at Texas Tech University is a joint effort between the Texas Tech Wind Science and Engineering department and the Texas Wind Energy Institute.  As an employee of the Texas Wind Energy Institute during my recent two year stay in Lubbock I helped get the graduate certificate program started by drafting the necessary course request forms, syllabi, Graduate School applications, and guiding it through the various administrative steps with the university and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.  I served as the programs first Graduate Advisor as well.

I have attended numerous Wind Energy Law CLE conferences and other wind energy seminars and endeavor to keep up with the latest regulatory, legislative, and technological changes related to renewable energy and wind energy.  I recently gave a presentation at the 2009 Cameron Workforce Solutions Annual Economic Summit at South Padre Island on wind energy in general and the impact of windfarms on coastal avain habitats and bird migrations.

I offer legal services related to wind and renewable energy such as contract drafting and negotiations, local and state regulatory issues, and general consultation services for individual and commercial interests.
